Conference Objectives

A key objective of this conference is to explore practical solutions to emerging sustainability issues in the energy sector through renewable alternatives. Renewable energy is derived from natural resources that are constantly regenerated. This includes, and is not limited to,energy harnessed from solar, wind, ocean, biomass and geothermal resources.  As such discussions during the conference - will focus on novel renewable methods and technologies that pertain to the climate in Oman. The discussions will touch on solar thermal systems, photovoltaic systems, wind turbines, geothermal technologies, hydroelectricity, renewable cooling systems and clean coal.

The conference also encompasses the concepts of integrated green communities, energy-efficient buildings, energy audits and surveys.  Alternative fuels, bio-diesel, ethanol, hybrids and green batteries are some of the other topics targeted for discussion.
