Conference Objectives

To focus on practical solutions to emerging sustainability issues in the energy sector through renewable alternatives through solar thermal, solar photovoltaic’s, wind, thermal energy, hydro, renewable heating and clean coal, open and closed loop geothermal heating/cooling systems amongst others. It also encompasses the concepts of integrated green communities, energy-efficient buildings, energy audits and surveys. The Conference will also feature the deliberations on alternative fuels, biodiesel, ethanol, hybrids, green batteries and more.

The International Conference on Harnessing Technology (ICHT) will aim to incorporate the following themes, as outlined:

Renewable Energy Resources & Technology

Fossil fuels are non-renewable, that is, they draw on finite resources that will eventually dwindle, becoming too expensive or too environmentally damaging to retrieve. In contrast, renewable energy resources-such as solar and wind energy-are constantly replenished and will never run out. The conference will provide an opportunity for focused discussions from professionals in their field, sharing their knowledge of alternative and novel ways of discovering, producing and efficient use of renewable resources. Experts can present the innovative ideas in promoting the clean technologies for the benefit of human life.

Renewable Energy Conservation, Economics & Strategic Management

Renewable energy has become a priority issue in developing countries, strategies and systems being considered and deployed by governments to encourage and incorporate renewable energy resources as part of the energy equation. The conference aims to bring together representatives and delegates from both the academic and industry to share ideas on structure financing for emerging renewable energy projects, foreign investment opportunities and strategies, energy conservation and initiatives to oversee demand side management.

Renewable Energy Sustainability & Environmental Impacts

Sustainability is now playing a greater role in the research and development of many engineering technologies. Sustainability is the ability to maintain specifically-the preservation of environment and resources and it can be achieved through balancing cost, environment, safety and quality of life. The conference provides a platform for experts to share their experiences towards sustainable renewable energy in our current economic environment including energy security.
